| Abstract: | This article studies how strategic planning can arouse strategic integration within organizations. It is proposed that integration will only arise from active negotiations and compromises between actors in different business units. Based on a case of strategic planning in a multinational that was trying to create greater strategic integration across Europe, and drawing upon an activity theory framework, it is investigated how a common strategy emerges over time through modifications. |
