Abstract:The driving force behind Japan's post-war reconstruction is attributed to an American management consultant. Only recently have U.S. firms begun to adopt his doctrine, and now more U.K. firms are beginning to follow. Some simplified points on the way towards improvement are listed; -maintain constant drive towards improvement of product and service; -adopt a new philosophy suited to the new economic age; -build a structure that motivates all in the organization towards overall quality improvement.
