| Abstract: | A report on two experiments where the subjects were asked to learn, through induction, a multiattribute rule defining product quality in a novel category, predicting the outcomes of a single multiattribute rule with four bits of feedback, the bias in the judgements, the ability to learn the attributes associated with a good option quicker and more accurately that those associated with a bad one, and a second experiment to assess ability to learn the rules, use configural judgement policies and the implications of the findings for current research in consumer choice analysis. |
