| Abstract: | Different views on human nature in management theory are described. A theoretical framework is presented as a basis of empirical research. The research instruments are overviewed: tests, sampling, questionnaires, cluster analysis etc. The Giessen-test is discussed, a short description of its six scales is given. Some results of a factor analysis are mentioned. Several managerial types are identified. A number of relationships between the managers' views on human nature and some sorts of organizational behaviour as well as the underlying psychosocial factors are demonstrated. Hypotheses are elaborated and some suggestions for further research are made. |
