The problem of optimum financing is discussed. Measures of the value of the firm are compared. The present value of net cash flows method is examined in detail. Sources of competitive advantage are connected to financial strategy. The introduction of a stronger financial dimension into overall strategy is proposed. Managerial implications are summarized.
