| Abstract: | Interest in the use of manufacturing and manufacturing strategy as a competitive weapon has been rising. The company's technologies is general, and particularly those relating to manufacturing, are not neutral in the determination and implementation of a company strategy. Efforts are needed to overcome the trade-off between flexibility and cost efficiency. For the Japanese respondents these attempts become clear. Europeans and North Americans are not yet seizing the opportunity to cut costs through rapid production and design changes. |
