| Abstract: | The wage niveau of women in Switzerland is much lower than that of men. This fact shows that wage discrimination of women is an existing problem in Switzerland, too. Only an econometrical analysis of individual data can give an answer to the extent of wage discrimination. Such econometric surveys have been carried out in other industrial countries but this is the first such analysis on the Swiss wage market. |
