Abstract:Early in 1988 the Irish commercial radio starts to operate but the Irish State Radio and Television (RTE) was excluded from its establishment. In the country already two radio stations work and proposals point out that also national and local newspapers are able to run the new station. The government considers to establish commercial TV, too.
