Abstract: | According to Irish Sunday Press the government has principally accepted to use the second TV channel for commercial purposes. The Irish state radio and television (RTE) told that such a decision could not be made without a previous consultation with RTE. Also RTE has been considering the establishment of a commercial TV channel for Dublin with Cablelink which has about 200 000 subscribers. The BBC and Britain's Channel 4 also supply films to Ireland. |
