Abstract:Broadcasting Minister of New Zealand announced deregulation of broadcasting industry. Anyone can start radio and TV station, or use DBS, cable TV. The only restriction will be the limitation on the percentage of overseas ownership. The Public Broadcasting Corporation of New Zealand will be a fully commercialized, state-owned enterprise. The state will keep 2 radio stations, but the future of the other two is uncertain.
