| Abstract: | Belgium's authors'rights bill dates back to 1886. The proposed new measures seem to get all party support, and will come into effect in 1989. The suggested 8% blank tape levy on retail price needs further negotiations.Copyright protection should be extended from 5o years to 70 years after the author's death. |
