| Abstract: | In 1986 the Government backed the requirement that BBC and ITV should take 25% of their programmes from the independents by 1990. In the past year IPPA membership rose to 600. This survey shows how the independents differ in profitability, output, and organisational structure. The supers will drift towards big companies making prime time programs and products for overseas market. But the masses will fight to survive. |
