Abstract:Induction is an area often not paid too much attention to. However, the result of inadequate induction is high labour turnover. This article not only proves the importance of an induction programme , but shows how to plan one. The main areas of consideration are the use of individual and group training, phasing of information, the duration, content and training methods of courses and the induction roles of personnel staff.
