Abstract:This is a linguistic-psychological treatise analysing new phenomena in the wording of advertisements, deducing them from changes on consumer goods markets. Overstatements, use of infinitive as imperative, distancing from the product, preference for the substantive are examples mentioned. The role of music in advertisements is also explained.
