Abstract:There are many problems with writing and presenting business report in corporations. The ideal setting for fine-tuning the manuscript would be a quiet place with no interruptions by anyone. However, time and place for this purpose are not always available. Seven techniques are suggested for an effective revision of reports: Use headings to check overall coherence and logic, check paragraph length for clear development, check sentence length, use tables or figures whenever possible, check all pronouns to ensure that their antecedents are clear, check acronyms for clarity, read the report aloud. Sometimes chosing a more precise noun or verb lets a writer drop several adjectives.
