| Abstract: | The paper studies responsive leaders, who have learned to put their personal reactions on one side so that they can answer in a wider context than their personal history. Their authority comes not from their role but from their inner directedness. Their ability to be open and steadfast, makes them flexible and tough enough to take responsibility for being leaders in difficult times. |
