Abstract: | Ralph Stacey connected the main concepts of complexity science, chaos and self-organization, to the economic life. This paper provides an in-depth discussion on the usage of complexity science ideas to manage change in a large public sector organization. The authors introduce the Open University case as an example of successful major strategic change intervention. Also the principles of a complexity based change process are described. |
