Abstract:The imperial Germany was indifferent to the newly founded science of business management. The "Republic of Weimar" needed and used the professional contributions to increase the economical productivity to rehabilitate the finances of the state. The Nazi State as well as the German Democratic Republic used business management for their political aims and subordinated it to the reason of state. During the German Federal Republic, the science hat time to unfold. The state supported business management. The science reciprocated with professional contributions for the solution of governmental tasks containing problems in business management. A concrete example for this is the regulatory policy of the government for the support of competition, innovation and growth.
