Abstract: | Business Process Reengineering is one of the most popular management concepts today. The approach of BRP contains a fundemental rehinking and restructuring of business activities and so called business processes. The theoretical and practical background of BRP is based on two main areas: informationb technology/system integration and organizational design. Therefore the concept BRP is mainly driven by an organizational focus with a strong underlying IT-basis. The BRP concept is a consulting driven approach which wants to exploit the full potential of firm ressources. In management practise BRP has an outstanding reputation as a "very successfull approach" to achive dramatic improvements in costs, time, and quality in a quantum leap dimension. The article gives recommendation for an effective and efficient use of BRP. |
