| Abstract: | This paper reviews the research on Yield Management with respect to the history and current nature of the Yield Management problem. The method's key elements are presented. Capacity Management including (Seat or Room) Inventory Control and Overbooking as well as Discriminatory and Dynamic Pricing of (service) firms with constrained Capacity or Inventory are subject of a detailed summary in terms of the bibliography of work in this important area of research. The paper concludes with an overview of directions for future research (original in German). |
