| Abstract: | The payment system regulated payment transfers both within a country and across borders.Since a payment system pursues different economic (thriftiness, ration management, price) and non-economic (company performance control, tax collection, etc.) objectives, the system is subject to certain deviations.The efficiency, rationality and timeliness of the payment system depend on the level of government interference.Since independence Slovenia has found new, more demanding markets in countries with highly developed economies.It has also started introducing the elements and criteria of a market economic system. Considering all that has been mentioned above, Slovenia should update a great deal of its social organisation, including the payment system. |
