Abstract:The aim of this paper is to examine how theoretical knowledge related concepts suit in the real business world situations. The author utilized his own company as a point of comparison. The research focused on concepts, such as tacit and explicit knowledge, associated with the use of knowledge in business in order to achieve profit. Findings from this case study reveal that knowledge is expressed in diverse concepts with various levels and functions. The analysis offers some guidelines to knowledge management practitioners.
