| Abstract: | The United States and Iran hate each other. But the author argues that Iran's natural resources and its market of nearly 60 million people give it more potential as a trading partner than any other Middle Eastern country save Israel. Moreover, with its revolution over and with rudimentary republican institutions in place, Iran could prove to be a stable, long-term economic and politic ally. |
