Abstract:This report on seeds, bulbs and plants (collectively called green garden goods) is the third part of a series of five Retail Business reports covering garden products. Garden centres account for 45% of sales of seeds, bulbs and plants. Consumers want easy, convenient gardening. The largest advertisers are nurseries selling direct to the public. Seedsmen tend not to advertise in the media, preferring promotion in their catalogues and at retail store level.
