| Abstract: | The garden chemicals retail market was worth 241 million pounds in 1993, an increase of 3% on 1992. Growing media was the largest sector, worth 121 million, followed by fertilisers and pesticides. Sales of lawncare products, soluble fertilizers, weedkillers and insecticides have been increasing. Fisons Horticulture leads the overall garden chemicals market and has sector leadership in growing media and fertilisers. ICI Garden Products dominates the pesticide sector. |
