| Abstract: | This article reviews the major changes that higher education (hereafter as HE) has undergone lately and how these developments have influenced the differences among classes and genders within HE. The analysis is based on data from statistics of one full age group including all persons who were born in 1974 and who lived in Sweden at the age of 16. The results show that the expansion of HE has improved equalisation, in spite of the fact however, gender and class differentiation has remained but changed into other forms. |
