Abstract: | Traditional management hierarchy is becoming increasingly detrimental to the USA global competitiveness in the era of knowledge, creativity and innovation. The problem of hierarchy inversion process is addressed. Management transformation principles directed toward continual quality improvement are outlined. Training of all employees in new philosophy and implementation of team work provide an environment in which all employees strive to improve quality by applying statistical process control to their work processes. Practical consulting experience is reported. The implementation of the inversion process in two small companies is described and analyzed. It relied on new methods and techniques not common in the USA industry today. |
