Abstract:As management consultants at GE, the authors found that many of the impediments to good decisions are removed when decision makers and information sources are in the same room at the same time. Action forums are corporate meetings that involve key players from management, the factory floor and even suppliers and customers. Thus, they achieve better decisions, faster, ensure the commitment of those who must implement decisions, and make full use of the power, perspective and wisdom of those at the top of an organization.
