| Abstract: | In view of the problems in utilizing foreign investment in China, which are similar to ones existing in the developing countries where debt crisis has occurred, this paper raises doubts about China's principle of utilizing foreign investment: 1. The proportion of utilized foreign investment in China's investment in fixed assets has increased continuously, which would make domestic industries and economy controlled by foreign investors if going on; 2. A large amount of foreign investment is utilized on one hand and the financial institutions have a huge sum of balance of newly increased savings on the other hand, which shows the low efficiency and waste in use of funds rather than shortage of fund; 3. China hasn't had such a gap since the 1990s and so there is no need of introducing a large amount of foreign investment. |
