| Abstract: | The age structure of university students has changed in many countries. Studying at adult age has become one feature of today's university, and the previous picture of a (young) university student studying full-time for her/his first degree is changing. This article is based on a study conducted in Finland where one third of all university students are aged 30 years or over. |
