Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to advance the understanding of consumer response to sustained powerlessness as a consequence of disadvantaged life-conditions that are resistant to change. This study provides a framework to understanding the ways in which these consumers try to reclaim degrees of self-empowerment and wellbeing. |
