Abstract:It is asked what are the critical roles that boards should play to successfully achieve organisational (hereafter as: org-al.) change? In order to identify critical contributions that boards can make to successful planning and implementation of org-al. change, this study explores research on the issue. Testable propositions are presented suggesting roles that boards should play in effectively guiding org-al. change while protecting the interests of an organisation's stakeholders.
