Abstract:This paper shows how template analysis can be used as a tool for evaluating compliance-competence (hereafter as: c-c). Focusing on the ethical dimension of c-c., it is illustrated how this can be subjectively appraised. It is proposed that this evaluation technique could be utilised as a starting point in informing senior management on issues of corporate governance. It could also be used to demonstrate and monitor key compliance and ethical aspects of an institution to regulators and external stakeholders.
