Abstract: | In contrast to most economics and management articles, this paper argues in favour of reviving the role of narratives (hereafter as: nrts.) Proposed is an integrated perspective (here as: int-prs.) of modelling, quantification and nrts., based on a set of principles (organon), on using of the exploratory dimension, and on colligation of rival hypotheses. The int-prs. is developed through an examination of the relationships 1. btw. modelling and nrts., and 2. btw. nrts. and quantitative analysis. This is based on analysis of the exposed nrts. in a few major economics publications. |
