Abstract: | The upward influence of middle-level managers was examined with a sample of 60 participants. Following facts were found: according to the nature of decisions, upward influence is more prevalent in low risk types than in high risk types and during the implementation than in formulation. As for the methods they most often use rational arguments. Regarding the preception of the causes of success or failure, success is more often attributed to internal causes than failure. Managers from private sector organizations exert influence more frequently than those from public sector. |
