Abstract:Previous cross-sectional field and laboratory research has indicated mixed results as to whether recruiter characteristics and behaviours affect applicant reactions to employment opportunities. Now a research was conducted to examine the effect of recruiter characteristics using a preliminary study design in a naturally occurring setting. Besides, the effects of several potential moderators on recruiter influence were tested. The results suggested that recruiter character had an effect on perceived job attributes.
