Abstract:In this article the author critically discusses the development of British employment equality law, which has been developing positively yet, not in the most optimal way. The study is made by critically considering the development from 1970s to present date. The author suggests that the weaknesses left in the equality law and enforcement approaches could be fixed by the new Commission for Equality and Human Rights as well as the proposed Single Equality Act.
