| Abstract: | The authors observed leaders of self-directed teams in action, then developed a matrix tool for diagnosing and remedying common leadership problems. The tool helps define a problem as organizational, as psychological, or as behavioral. By looking at the problem in this way, as well as in terms of a relationship (with self, with peers, or with superiors), the new team leader can gain new insight into how to correct deficiencies in leadership. |
