| Abstract: | The political parties of the german government and the opposition discuss a new legislation for the reform of the German Federal Post. The main reason for the nessecity of the reform is the dynamic development of telecommunication and postal services. Telecommunication belongs, for example, to the most rapidly growing markets. Other reasons for the reform are the ever growing pressure of the international competition and financial problems of the German Post. The main points of the reform bill are the transformation of the Post into joint stock company, the privatization of some of the services and new control and regulation rules. |
