Abstract: | Given the current emphasis on organizational reengineering and other kinds of organizational interventions, an area of special importance is that of attitude change as a function as such interventions. Currently, there is a typology labeled Alpha, Beta and Gamma change which is designed to measure three different types of attitude change from state A to state B. The authors develop a model of attitude and structure and examine the cognitive processes hypothesized to yield attitude structure changes corresponding to the Alpha, Beta and Gamma typology. |
