Abstract:In its essence, innovation involves intelligence. Authors have hinted that the amount and type of organizational innovation is related to learning processes, and that organizational innovation is dependent upon the organization's knowledge base. Although cognitive perspectives on organizations have flourished in recent years, researchers have not elaborated on either the nature and function of intelligence in organizations or on its role in affecting innovation. That is the purpose of this article.
