| Abstract: | This article examines the environmental and ecological carrying capacity of tourist destinations using a case study of Hengistbury Head, Bournemouth. It is argued that the concept of carrying capacity should be implemented as a critical aspect in the planning of tourist destinations. Suggestions for successful planning are proposed. |
