| Abstract: | This editorial deals with large and significant opportunities (here as: opprts.) looming on the horizon and requiring firms, organizations, and governments to think broadly - with a systems perspective - about their environmental impacts. The IE (industrial ecology) and LCA (life-cycle assessment) communities should see these opprts. as important to their missions in raising awareness of what can be brought by them to the table as prospective partners and contributors.
