Abstract: | The planning relationships between the Australian parent and its foreign operation is investigated. Data was collected by mail questionnaires from 17 business firms that owned companies with foreign subsidiaries. The majority of the responding firms did forecasting even though the nature and extent of the various forecasts varied greatly. The most important problem between the subsidiary and the home office is that the objectives of the foreign operation are often in conflict with corporate objective. |
