Abstract: | It is argued that continuous management development processes can be integrated with everyday work without waiting for new or superior theoretical models. A style that does not involve a theoretical or principled base but prefers reflections on experience as the route to new learning is preferred because, it is claimed, it reflects the personnel practitioner's reality while the former tends to limit it. An overview illustration of "the learning opportunity" embraces knowledge, skills, attitudes as well as nature of learning, the socio-technical system, group dynamics and organizational characteristics. A few examples are provided to show how integrated learning operated in the practice of marketing management. |
