| Abstract: | Before formulating the economic policies that will help Latin America emerge from the crisis of the 1980s, the OECD must reveal the causes of the crisis. There is scope for international cooperation to help define the magnitude of the fiscal gap that must be bridged in Latin American countries and to identify how that can be realistically accomplished through fiscal adjustment, modifications of debt-service obligations. |
