Abstract:A model of employee helping behaviour, a component of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), is tested across four cultures, that is, the United States (US), Poland, Taiwan, and Egypt. Results for the full sample support the Good Samaritan Effect. In addition, the love of money is positively related to extrinsic motives that are negatively related with helping behaviour. There are also more results reported.
