Abstract:Carpet fiber company BASF Fibers has decided to reach carpet industry specifiers with teleconferencing. Each year, BASF plays host to 600 to 700 industry specifiers at its Williamsburg headquarters for educational weekends, called CREATE. With the help of teleconferencing, BASF could expand the educational programme by two or three times over previous levels. The cost is about one-third less per person than a Williamsburg visit.
