| Abstract: | It is hypothesized that there's a connection between the practices of the mass media and the processes of cultural change: the relatively recent transformation of anti-black racism. It is explored how local news may be contributing to the metamorphosis of white racism. 76% of all local TV stories about blacks fell into the categories of crime or politics. |
