| Abstract: | Consolidation is general trend and it has characterized the satellite communications industry for several years. Recent examples are Satellite Broadcasting/Sky merger and GTE/Contel merger. Consolidation has its benefits and difficulties as well. According to most experts the current wave of consolidation will leave plenty of competition in the market-place. International expansion can be another benefit. |
